October, you have come once more
With a gentle breeze softly greeting
Though presence no longer lingers near
And those who leave don’t reappear.
But thank you, peaceful October,
For memories never truly fade away
Even when hope no longer glows brightly
Amid silent goodbyes that slowly stay.
You’ve taught me the meaning of remembrance
That even without a hand to hold
The heart can still weave its own hope
Though it may not lead to the same future.
Thank you, October, for each passing day
Kept safely within this heart of mine
Your presence reminds me that love
Never fully fades in time.
