The Deeper Someone’s Wounds, the More They Choose Silence
Not because they can’t feel, but because they are tired of hoping. They no longer beg for love, chase after it, or plead to be chosen. They simply stand in silence, gazing at the world with eyes that no longer shine. If love comes, they won’t rush to embrace it—just watching from a distance, waiting, observing, measuring how much someone is willing to fight against the storm for them. And if, in the end, they feel convinced, maybe then, for the first time in a long while, they will unlock the door to their heart once more.
Not because they have lost hope, but because they have learned that true love doesn’t need to be desperately pursued. If someone truly wants and values them, they will prove it. And only then, perhaps, a heart long frozen might consider melting again.
